President of Kermanshah Science and Technology Park said: early stage companies supported by KSTP, have been able to export $ 2 million of goods and services to Iraq, Afghanistan, Canada, South Korea and other countries.
According to Public Relations Department of Kermanshah Science and Technology Park, Dr Masoumeh Khanahmadi in an interview said: Kermanshah is at western part of Iran and has long common borders with Iraq; a country with a large market that should be considered by managers of Startups of  KSTP and other Science and Technology Parks across the country as a valuable opportunity.
She went on to say: in cooperation with an agent from private sector, KSTP has tried to help Startups to enter the market of Iraq and sell their goods.
Khanahmadi added: although KSTP has prepared various facilities including office, financial resources, laboratories, workshops and many other types of equipment and divided them between startups, but unfortunately business regulations in Iran have been passed just to support large industries and ignore challenges faced by SMEs.
Khanahmadi stated that due to progresses of the Startups in determined fields, some of them could enhance themselves to be categorized in Knowledge based companies level and obtain new facilities.
It is worth mentioning that KSTP has supported more than 414 early stage companies and created jobs for approximately 1000 men and women in Kermanshah province.
