Head of innovation and prosperity fund said: 1100 knowledge based plans have been approved by Innovation and Prosperity Fund.
According to public relations department of Kermanshah Science and Technology Park, Behzad Soltani speaking in a meeting with managers of Knowledge based firms of Kermanshah said: 2450 Knowledge-Based Companies have been established in Iran.
He added: knowledge based economy is the only way to save our country and get rid of oil centered economy.
head of IPF presented a report about Iran’s government measures to support the newly established knowledge based firms, adding that IPF welcome any opportunity to grow and develop the knowledge based economy.
“The IPF is tasked with allotting some of the resources to construct technology complexes in different cities and has called for domestic knowledge-based companies to purchase office space in the business parks either paid by installment or hire-purchase”, Soltani said.
“Presently, knowledge-based firms are based in science and technology parks, universities and over the cities, while the country has a serious lack of technology complexes in cities,” he underscored.
It is worth mentioning that Iran’s economy is in transition from the traditional business to more knowledge-based activities. Knowledge-based enterprises can make a significant contribution to overall economic development by increasing added value among other things.
